I prefer Howie, by a big margin, over Flattop Jay. Howie's funny while Jay seems more than a bit arrogant.

I used to love when Howie will fill in for Jerry ("Good
afternoon New England, this is Howie Carr of the Boston
Herald and I'm filling in for the Dean today") and it was great Howie eventually got his own show.

I have to say I agree. Howie Carr is much better than Jay. Yes he does screw up while speaking, but that is what makes him so much more human (that is also why Dubya is so down-to-earth). Howie doesn't pretend to be on some big high mountain looking down on all us regular folk like Jay or Rush (no atilla-the-hun chair for Howie).
On the online streaming, WRKO is expected to go streaming on their website in a few weeks, so there should be more slot open to listen to Howie online from India, Iceland, Italy, or Indiana!

How about the bits that Howie did with the likes of VB?
The Gluttony gags
The animal destruction jokes
typical Maine A$$hole humor
Fart jokes
Sub-mit
I wrote to Jay and his producer as soon as Jay went on air on 96.9 and offered up that list of why Jay would succeed. The concept of fart jokes made it as a promo for Jay to differentiate Jay from AM radio.
Actually, I am listening to Howie right now as Jay left the scene as soon as Terri died as I believe he couldn't take the heat.
Jay was so right and entertaining when he would let Sediki say his piece and then make sport of him. BTW, where is Sediki?
