Am I the only one who noticed the tires in Mission Impossible magically change from slicks, to dirt tires, to trials tires, to sand paddles ?

I saw that one too. Of course, Speed Racer had a button on his steering wheel that did the same thing... so don't be telling me it isn't possible.
