No, I wasn't heart broken, but I was offended. At 16, 34 seemed old to me and I couldn't understand how he could like my old, decrepit mother more than he liked a sweet young thing like myself.
Now that I'm 38, 34 sounds great. :-)

My first love was an older woman.... a decade on me. Hulloo there, Mrs. Robinson! Well its not a December-May romance. That should be the opposite. Young women should be sooo jealous!

I'm thinking of Demi Moore and Ashton Kusher. Yeah a young hottie who could have his share of babes but is wowed by a 40 something! Older women still have their looks and the experience to go with it and they can offer something to a man. Don't count 'em out!

Yes, it was good to learn many "lessons" from an older gal.

I almost can't bear to use the words "my Mom" and "hottie" in the same sentence.

Older women also tend to be - well, richer That's because - well - they have been married before and took at least half from the previous marriage(s)

Many a wise woman has let their hubby's run off with the office hottie in exchange for 1/2 of all future earnings....

I don't have any pictures of her on the computer from when she was young. And if I did have one and someone said something negative about her, I'd have to hunt them down and beat them to a bloody pulp and I'm just not in the mood for kicking a man's butt today. :-)

Unfortunately, young womens' attraction to older men has to do with the bulge in back of your pants. When they realize you'll be paying the ex 60% of all you make, they won't be interested. That's a definite turn-off to older women, too. I am a widow, and have never been divorced. The last thing I'm looking for now is a lifetime of divorce consequences (including bitterness) with a twice or thrice divorced man ... and that eliminates almost all the men around my age.
However, having raised 4 sons, I'm not willing to date anyone around their ages either.

Thankfully, I haven't heard this song much.
It's 1 thing to have a "crush". It's another for it to be all sex-charged. Enough w/that crap.
And besides, their music is so noisy and the words so garbled, I thought it was
"CiCi's Mom"!

Just how old are we talking?
I wouldn't count on that until she's 45+.

Oh pissant, once again YOU are my hero. Thanks for pointin' out the fact that we "older" girls have some life left.

Well, you are one up on me. I never heard the damn song. I tuned out rock & roll (pop) 10 years ago. Listen to the Classical station or talk radio. Still will crank my ZZ Top, Dylan or Stones CDs on occasion.
BTW there is no such thing as "crush" that isn't "sex charged" for a 16 yo boy. ;o}
