Due to sick children, I missed American Idol tonight. It's my one vice...Did anyone see it, and can you fill me in on who was ousted? I know I'm not the only Freeper who's watching.

The lotto girl was apparently the same girl in the hotel room with Sawyer when he kicked her out after Lt Dan showed up.... this is very weird.

She's still 'on' the show, I think they said she would appear on another episode yet this season.

The next new episode is on April 13

I voted for Jessica Sierra, the country music singer. She's blonde and a bit chunky, and she can belt them out. Also Bo, his version of "Tied to the Whipping Post" would've made the Allman BROS PROUD!

So far I really like Bo. I think he knows his own style better than anyone else--and you're right, he really kicked on "Whipping Post". Second, I like Carrie Underwood.

Aloha should have stayed, for now at least. The little black chick who looks like she is 12 should have packed it in.

I feel bad about Aloha going. She looked devastated on Tues when all three judges panned her performance.
What happened to the young black guy with the dreadlocks who was # 02 on Monday nite. I voted for him, and I don't know whether they kept him or not.

I think he was booted. The older dreadlocks, the music teacher, is still in.

I think he was booted. He seemed like a nice, talented young man. Oh well, I'll start voting for Bo or Constantine for their rockin' sound.

I don't watch it as I don't have a TV except a black and white in plastic in the basement. I pulled it out for 9/11 last. (Watch TV at my mom's though on weekends). Do they not show a rerun of it at any other time of the week that you could watch?

Can we start pushing favorites? The below is from the Idol web site about Travis Tucker, a student at the University of Virginia. Sounds like a man FReepers can support.
If you dont make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do?
Go back to school.
What are your personal goals in life?
Marry, raise a family, serve as a positive role model for youth.
Do you have any rituals or things you do each time before you perform?
Pray. Practice.
What has been your proudest moment in life so far?
The concert of the a capella group I founded at University of VA.
If you win, who will you thank first?
God.

My money's on the guy who wore a hat and went first and the black chick with the poofed up hair. I think the guy is PR from NYC. They both sing well and know how to move on stage.
Last year I think Fantasia won because of her stage presence. I don't think she'll sell many CDs though. Contrast with Akin who's just a crooner on stage. His big move is to switch the mic from one hand to the other. But he's got a great voice and has the CD sales to prove it.

I agree that Bo is better than Constantine, who must surely feel his fellow rocker breathing down his back.
Also, Bo has more sex appeal for the ladies. Constantine seems a little rougher in his demeanor. "Lookism" is part of the contest, when it should be all talent.

My money's on the guy who wore a hat and went first. Yes, the puertoriqueño, I think his name is Rubio. He has a lot of personality and he may go far in the competition, but I can't see him winning the top spot.
It seems the show realizes they have to expand beyond the pop crooners in order to increase ratings and interest, and include rock performers and even country western singers (like Jessica Sierra).

I think they've had 1 or 2 country singers in eaxh group and a ballad singer. There has been a heavy emphasis in R&B which I enjoy anyway. The rockers are a welcome addition. They're both doing okay and should around awhile. Tune in later.

I just found out that another of my daughter's classmates from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts is becoming famous. Not only did my daughter graduate with Josh Groban, but also with contestant Amanda Avila.
