I've got the equivalent of this now. Don't know if it's by WiMax, but I have a radio rcvr/xmtr/modem that gets me broadband out here in the boonies. Competitive pricing with DSL and very reliable

My understanding is that Philly is using Tropos equipment which is a single radio mesh router. If that is true then by the third to fourth radio you will only get dial-up speeds on it. But I also heard that the final deal is that they are just giving right of ways to private companies on city property like street lights.
