So perhaps we should examine exactly what it is they do for a living. Consider the dictionary definition of "act."

Act: (v) 1. To play the part of; assume the dramatic role of 2. To perform (a role) on the stage 3. To behave like or pose as; impersonate

Basically, these people take on the persona of someone other than themselves for a living.

Based on that definition, it was no surprise to me to find that the members of the Golden raspberry Award Foundation, in this year's Razzie awards, voted for President George W. Bush for "Worst Actor" for his part in Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11." I mean, think about it. If there is one thing President Bush doesn't do, it's act. He always says exactly what he means and is virtually the same person in public as he is in private. He doesn't take on fake roles for the purpose of entertaining the masses. He is himself--nothing more, nothing less.

What's wrong with a US President being bad at acting? I guess they would have preferred Kerry, the ultimate actor.
