Don't even get me started on the government and health care. None of us have that kind of time.

All I needed was the right blood test and a saliva test, which cost about 200.00 total. But to get them, I had to do my own research and ask for them specifically.

I have found that health care is no different than any other business. If you want good service you cannot just sit around and hope someone does their job. You have to be proactive and sometimes a little demanding.

This is in response to ALL whom have commented here - as I have not yet learned how to do that...

I posted this yesterday, as on Immune Support.com, they keep up with research as it comes out. Each month there are about three or four new studies/articles pertaining to FMS,etc., and holistic medicine. Because I have FMS, and had my Thyroid removed last year ( a normal one weighs 10 grams; mine was 132 grams, but my TSH level was ALWAYS in 'NORMAL' range), I keep up and compile as many articles and studies as I can.

Holistic Medicine and Natural therapies are alot like Evangelical religion. You get a few BAD things in the mix, and the entire batch is shot. Everyone seems to cling to the bad press and the 'yeah, buts', and loose track of the truth behind the practice. Modern Medicine truly does have little to offer these days by way of new treatments that are 'effective'.The best they can do is treat the 'symptom', and if you watch the commercials for drugs on television, they always begin with "while there is no cure for..." - it's simply not true. As I have stated before, one is given a prescription to take care of a problem - that Rx causes 10 more things(which are stated openly on the commercials and with the information packets you get from the drug store, listed under "side effects"), and 10 more pills are required to fix the problems that didn't exist before!.

It is possible - I have articles and scientific proof to back it up - nearly EVERY disease can be cured through Holistic/natural/micronutrient treatment. Dr. Lorraine Day (somewhat controversial due to views on subjects other than nutrition - but a wonderful doctor)was able to CURE herself of cancer, using the correct mix of Natural micronutrients. I have a list - everything from Diabetes to Acne - which lists the herbs/nutrients needed to correct the imbalance in your system. Many I know have succesfully erradicated issues the doctors couldn't touch.

One thing about thyroid many do not know - the range of 'normal' is SO wide that what might be normal for one, is not for another. A friend of my son - extra large child from day of birth. Teased profusely, everyone joked about how much he ate, but he WASN"T eating anymore than any other kid. I had questioned for years (to myself) what was going on with him, and when he became 17 and was willing to talk about it, HE brought it up, because he knew I did alot of research and had Thyroid problems myself. Finally, at age 18, he went to the doctor, had his thyroid checked and was at the low end of normal. This kid is 6'2'' and weighs 375lbs. I knew his thyroid level - while in range - was not normal for him, or his body would not be reacting the way it is. Nevertheless, the doctor did nothing for him. 'Normal' tests are 'Normal' tests.

Two years ago, while attending a wedding, his little sister (by 10 years) was there, and she was, at age 5, close to 4' and my weight guess would have been 115. Her mother hasn't a clue what is going on with these kids, but seeing her confirmed my diagnosis (self theory) of him.

It is called 'practicing medicine' because that is what they do - 'practice'. It is a best guess and ruleout profession. I was in the business for over 10 years and have seen the charts, discussed treatments of various patients with doctors, and I know how it works.

Mary Dan Eades has a wonderful book, "The Doctor's Complete Guide to Vitamins and Minerals", regarding nutrition, and explains in her opening comments they( physicians) are not taught nutrition and micronutrient theories in school. In order for them to figure this out, they must branch out on their own, and study for themselves. 9 times out of 10, the correct regimine of natural treatments will win.

Reference Kevin Trudeau - his book "Natural cures they do not want you to know about" - a ground breaking book, not only because of the info, but because of his tenacity to go up against the Pharmaceutical giants.

I always say, when I put articles out for my readers - do not take my word for it. You do not have to believe me. If you have a condition or ailment, take the time and do the research for yourself. You will be amazed at what you will discover.

Tip: when researching a particular problem: do a search at your favorite search engine, and work from back to front. The studies in the #1,4002,001 area are where the REAL research results are!

Good luck to all, and God bless.
