Very interesting that you posted that. I have been going through the same thing for about twenty years and have seen about a million doctors. I have recently found a compounding pharmacist who has been incredibly helpful and knows exactly how to handle this kind of thing. In my case it is adrenal deficiency. Since I am three points higher than what would be considered Addison's disease (if you test at 4.9, you're diseased. At 5, you're a-okay), my doctor pretty much told me to deal with it or see a psychiatrist. I can't understand why doctors don't test all hormone levels when a patient is sick.

Hormones are a tricky thing. Sad thing is, doctors are lazy in making diagnosis. They will rule out many obvious things and not test for the longshot because of your age or gender. All goes into having the government involved in our medical system. The insurance companies and the government agencies have so screwed everything that doctors won't order the expensive test.
