Still think the first season was the best, with no models, no actors, no contestants from OTHER reality shows. I'll never forget the frat brothers - "Swing you fat bastard, swing," and Mom and Emily. And that finish! Supposedly Season One is coming out on DVD. Check it out!
If you've never seen this show - it's one definitely worth watching, if for nothing but the locales. Although YMMV, to me it deserved both Emmys! (Mark Burnett must be seething!)
The most-recently concluded season was the first one I had ever watched, and I was disappointed. They kept bunching everyone up, so it didn't really matter all that much whether you finished first or next-to-last in a given week. And a lot of the competition seemed like pure luck -- how many bales of hay do you have to unroll before you find your next clue? How many locks do you have to try with your key before you find the one that opens? Will you get a cab driver who knows where he's going? I'd like the competition to be more skill-based and less chance-based. And less bunching.
