LOL. I know what you mean, but what about someone who hadn't read the preceding posts?
I thought Gretch might turn out to be a fulltime Nurse Ratched, but she has her better moments too. I think she's a smart, high-integrity woman, it's just that her way of expressing herself is sometimes screechy. Meredith is henpecked and therefore not very interesting.
The previews showed kvetchin' Gretchen with a bleeding head wound this week, so that might mean the end of her. We also saw Bregg with a rolled-over vehicle, so that might mean the end of them instead.
Yep, we all agree, no redeeming qualities. Still, Reana may squeak through tonight, as the previews showed Gretch with a bleeding head wound and Bregg with a rolled vehicle. The bros had bad bike luck last time,, seems they don't have good vehicle karma.
I predict nobody gets eliminated tonight.
They haven't had a freebie yet.
Victoria-lyte? LOL!
Come to think of it, you're probably right about it's not being an elimination lap tonight. Still, after two long hours of racing, it would be frustrating not to see someone get the boot.
Easy to say that now, not knowing who comes in last. If my faves trail the pack, I'll be happy to see them escape elimination.
Inventory is HARD. You can't do it fast. It has to be done in a specific order or you are LOST. They had no room to sort the items.
When I saw all that stuff they had to count, I knew they'd get it wrong.
(I once worked at game parlor that had huge stuffed animal claw-grab machines -- I had to count about 400 stuffed animals of each type every week.)
Here's some info EXPLAINING ROADBLOCKS from msnbc reality tv "expert" Andy Dehnart at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7046602/
Each Amazing Race clue envelope contains an attractively designed information card, with text large enough to be legible on camera. After they tear open the envelope, teams are required to read this card out loud in front of a camera, providing the editors with some non-Phil narration to use to explain the task. This season especially, theres been a lot of clue reading (dear editors, we dont need to hear every team read the clue, or even more than one).
Many clue envelopes often contain folded papers that have more detailed, typed instructions, which are the rules for that specific task, detailed directions, or other information the team may need. Weve also seen similar information taped to steering wheels in some episodes.
For Roadblocks, one team member is required to perform the task. Teams can actually switch Detour tasks at any time, and even switch back, but in Roadblocks, only one team member can attempt the challenge (and since last season, each person can do a maximum of six Roadblocks on the whole race). From what we know, contestants only read the cryptic clue, not any instructions, before deciding who will complete the task.
But at times, it seems like teams know more about the task ahead than the clue reveals. Since the envelope is already open, its possible that theyre reading more than just the clue, although we dont see that. Certainly, some teams can discern what is ahead based upon the clue itself (last weeks challenge asked, Whos not a vegetarian?, and clearly it was a meat-eating task). And often, they can watch the teams who have already arrived to figure out whats going on. A.D.
ahhh...okay. Thanks for putting it in context.
I am much better at building stuff than mind-numbing counting (especially if I'm in a race) so that task would have been a no-brainer.
I'm gonna stick my head out and say Brian and Gregg will make it, that the show's playing up the rollover and head wound to some extent.
I think it's because they rush and do not use their brains and think through each situation. Always run, run, run...you have to do both run and think! Because they are in hyperdrive they get clumsy.
Have you noticed that Rob and Amber DO NOT RUN. They amble. They didn't even run at the airport. Rob is too cool to run (or the producers never let us see them sweat).
No cause he would run when he needed to in Survivor. I think he takes his time and observes and takes in his surroundings, plotting his next move. He has proven to be very shrewd. As much as I couldn't stand him in Survivor I'm finding myself liking him more and more.
Yes, Rob's very smart. I just went over to Survivor All-Stars and read his bio. He's an educated guy, graduating from a fine private high school and then from Boston University with a B.A. in...drumroll....psychology. LOL. He's playing everyone but good! Theylove him so much in Boston, he got to throw out the first ball at FEnway Park after All-Stars when the Red Sox played the Yankees at the big Labor Day game.
By Jove, you may be on to something. If that indeed happens somebody better let CBS know the cat is out of the bag.
The other background groups are:
Juchenna, Romber, and Exlax (sunset)
and
Grian, Metch, and Relly (mountains)
That will suck if it comes down like that
And if, repeat IF, YourAdHere is on to something, I can't see Metch making it too much further so the "mountain" group would be next which would put the last 3 competitors the "sunset" group.
YourAdHere: If Reana is bumped tonight, you are a genius...no, a SUPER Genius! meep meep
Darned right it would suck if the stupid background in photos gave away the final standings. But Romber, Uchenna, and ExLax as the final three makes sense, as they are running Amazing races. We've already sort of decided that those three teams plus Relly and Breg will be the last five. But of the final three, who?
Such simple things bollux up Ray and Deana. Finding buses and taxis, buying tickets. Surely they cannot last much longer.
Really? Wow. By the way I don't like Ray and Deana. I hope they leave tonight. He is a real jerk.
Hmmmmmm ....
Wasn't too cool them passing an injured motorist like that. He just spiraled back down on my list. Go Ron and Kelly or Uchenna and Joyce.
