Actually, I did have room service last week at Mandalay Bay for breakfast. Quite nice! Husband was horrified but I promised to go downstairs and win the money back. Scored a quick $640 on a Double Diamond machine so husband was now very happy and room service lapse was forgiven.

Rob and Amber are playing the game much better than anyone else: they deserve to come in first. They always plan well: stacking books, getting an escort, having the bus driver man hold the door (hail to the bus driver bus driver man!).

I can't believe he's getting them all to quit! How funny is that? Well I grudgingly have to say they deserve to win.

Room service is a basic food group! My dad taught me how to call down for food when I was five years old and I've had stuff sent up everywhere ever since. Wish someone would send up a steak right away, and a nice martini on the rocks, and don't forget the chocolate mousse. Espresso. Cognac. A Cuban cigar. (I gave up smoking for lent, so if I sin,it's gonna be BIG.)

I'm avoiding the rest of this thread, as I'm two hours away from the start of TAR here on the left coast.

Misery Mom and son are still with us, unfortunately, but keep sinking further and further down the ladder of success, so it's only a matter of time.

How in the world could Debbie and Bianca have made such a stupid mistake after conferring with the concierge about the route, map in hand, before they picked up their car? Sun rises in the east, the Pacific Ocean is to the west, mountains go uphill. So they drove down the beach for two hours and back for another two hours to the road to the mountains. Unbelievable. But they have each other so we don't have to worry. LOL In a way I was disappointed because I thought the'd make a good showing in the RACE, putting pressure on more likely winners. Might have added an element of excitement and suspense. But even without them, this is a really great TAR.

The four pounds of meat deal was very funny. Rob was absolutely right, and so were the others who gave up. Knowing there was no way in the world they could finish, giving up sooner rather than later made sense.

It was interesting to watch Rob weighing his options, figuring out his best move. Clever fellah! I remember racers in past TARs making themselves extremely ill eating gloppy stuff and feeling rotten the next day. I wonder how little Alex will fare.

Brian and Greg ought to get their act together. They should be doing much better.

They did and they are. Hope you caught the show.

I thought Ron's comment that the road block was worse that when he lost 28lbs in 18 days in an Iraqi prison. The food was worse there; however, he didn't have to eat 4lbs of it at a sitting.

BTW - Both All Female teams are out at Leg 3. TAR7 tied for the worst showing by All Female teams with last season. At the Bowling Moms of TAR5 made it to Leg 12.

I'm surprised that Mom/son are still in the race at this point; however, they appear to be fading / arguing more and more.

"Mother! I will not eat this meat just to spite you if you continue to pester me!"

The Umbilical team lives for another week, but at least the annoying chickies are out.

Rob was clever in figuring a way out of the meat eating contest, but Argentina has some of the greatest beef in the world. I would have eaten five pounds just to show off.

The brothers seem to be emerging from their fog, dudes. I hope they step up their game some. And I hope they stop wearing Richard Simmons headbands.

I love the way Rob plays, but I'm rooting for somebody to take him out down the final stretch. He's like the Yankees.

The queens were a bit annoying this week, but I enjoyed their hissy fit in the market last week so much, I'm hoping they last a bit longer. Their mood swings have mood swings.

I still miss the hotties.

Hopefully they will be gone soon.

I thought Rob wimped out, I was suprised, surely he did tougher things on Survivor.
