Interesting, if true. I can't imagine someone in that bright of a public spotlight being so trace-ably stupid.
Post updates to this if you're able to verify it. I'm withholding judgement until then.
(Although I've always thought Stewart a jerk, this story needs verification! Regardless, I was glad when his dumb ass got pushed back in the pack in the final 10 laps!!)

I was going to jump in on another thread and try to defend Tony for being upset at the checkered flag about being blocked out. Not after reading this, though. If corroborated, Tony could find himself without a sponsor really quick. Then again, that was a perfectly self-descriptive autograph, eh?

IMHO, this thread shouldn't have been authored without an accompanying pic. Whereas there was no way anyone had evidence of Eason Jordan's remarks in Switzerland beyond multiple varied earwitness accounts -- thus causing the demand for video of the event to be released -- the captain doubtless either has or knows of someone with a digital camera that would make posting the alleged vulgar autograph easy as pie.

Stewart is a bit of a jackass to start with- but I'd HATE to believe he really said and did these things.
Keep us posted- if true he's in DEEP trouble with his sponsors and fans...

I'm sorry but I don't think it's right to post second-third hand information which in effect is rumor.
I've seen things happen here on FR posted that were not true (rumor) and people for months post it as truth without checking the facts.
I would never post a story like this about anyone without proof.
Tony Stewart can be a butt-head at times, but this is even beyond him unless there is much more to this story.

I don't buy this.
Yes Tony can be a jerk at times but I just don't think he would go to this.
If as you have been told, NASCAR is covering this up then wouldn't they have taken the jacket?
If NASCAR is covering this up then why, with ALL the media at Dayton did the Fire Fighter not go to one of them until somebody ran with it.
I will have to see pics and credible handwriting analysis before I'll belive this one.

The firefighter misused access to the pits to get autographs!
I have no doubt there was no public access to him at that time. The firefighter should be taken to task!

I am truly sorry but I don't believe a word of it. First of all, Tony has better things to do than ruin his career by doing such a thing. Also, I know him and he would never treat anybody in such a manner, even if he was angry. Tony loves his fans! This is just not something Tony would say or do. It's sounds to me like your friend wanted a good story to tell.
