ALERT...ALERT...ALERT...ALERT
The long awaited and highly anticipated Google e-mail (g-mail) has arrived; I believe it is still in Beta testing as the one time link I was sent for account activation disabled itself after signup...but perhaps by some creative poking around on their website, you too can find a sign up link. About G-mail
Dude, you're like a year too late. Where ya been?
I've had a Google Mail account for about a year now.
Well, they've just sent out another round of invites. I got mine this morning, and the link was bad. Feh!
I've been reading much around google's slant towards the dems. Been using other search engines (i.e. MSN) instead.
You must have been one of the privileged few. I tried to sign up about a year ago but the service was only in very limited Beta (and apparently by invitation only). I signed up for g-mail alerts and just received my invitation this am.
Gee. They didn't ask me my political affiliation upon sign up. I think I recently read that MSN (their new Beta is a fine search engine as well) was somewhat slanted toward the Dims by about 60/40 but please don't hold me to those exact numbers.
no need for additional software to go POP with gmail. Google provides instructions on how to set up POP3 GMail.
It should vary all over the place, depending upon which one of Google's 10,00 servers world wide that you hit at any particular moment. For example, I just got 9 hits for gimmebackmyconstitution.
I suspect FR is one of Hillary's biggest nightmares :-)
It's a breeze to set up too.
I registered at gmail for information a year ago, but heard nothing. I found that the only way to get an account was to find a current beta user with extra accounts to give away. After having the account for a month I also got extra accounts to give away. A month ago it went up to 50!
So, if you want an account freep mail me your email and I'll send you one.
