Grammys provide 'Tales from the Farce Side'

File this one under Tales from the Farce Side.
Seriously: It doesn't say particularly good things about the Grammy Awards when more giggles are generated by the live performances than by all the corny banter delivered by the decidedly un-funny host and her self-promoting helpers.
But that's exactly what happened Sunday during the music industry's annual celebration of itself a plodding pop-music party televised from Los Angeles on CBS, which apparently stands for Can't Be Stopped where the Grammy producers are concerned: The scheduled three-hour broadcast ran 29 minutes long.
"I took a couple of his yellow jerseys and made a dress," brayed Sheryl Crow before presenting an award with her better half, Tour de France champ Lance Armstrong.
Reaction to the lame line: (Insert sound of near-silence here.)
