So, why do you encourage others to post to them? I'm not trying to create a flame war, but why do you acknowledge them at all? I'd think we'd want their crap banned and move on, most of their posts are junk anyway. It seems to me they are winning without further posting, we egg them on with the kitties. Maybe it's time to ignore them, they want attention, any attention, and we supply it, good or bad, they get it there message, we look silly with juvenile posts, so let's stop it. Let the mods ban them, we move on to the important issues, which is not who has the cutest kitty picture, but how to save the US Constitution.

why do you acknowledge them at all? Because I walk and chew bubblegum at the same time.

Because, we post weird enigmatic things to them, humiliate them, and at times convince some to stay away.
And generally have fun.
Heck, it's pretty much tradition as well.
Check out the Mod's bio page, about halfway down.
Leaving the trolls alone before egged them on worse.
They felt they could come here with impunity.
Now it's more along the lines of 'how long can they go undetected' and while undetected, how many regular FReepers they can con into following along with them.
There's a small group who follows some of the trolls around and cuddles up to them.
Thankfully, they haven't been bothersome recently.
(They're some of the most vitriolic and insulting people I have run across.)
It gets interesting at times.

I can't speak for anybody else, but I come for stress relief and funny pictures.
