Oh My Becky! What a horrible experience. Like you, I'd be very vocal to the Dr. to get that thing out of my ear! When I was first married we lived in a small apartment. One night I woke up with something moving in my ear. I had a SilverFish in my ear. I totally flipped out.
I was luckier than you, I got it out myself with one of those ear removal bulb things. I've never been the same again. LOL!
The funny thing about it was, NO ONE, not even my husband believe it was a moth, But I was riding in the woods and I had noticed there was a bunch of them flying around me all day. I knew that was what it was.
When the doctor first looked in my ear, she didn't go deep enough (do you know HOW deep your ear holes go,,,I didn't till then when I felt her go in), she pulled out her scope and said there is no bug in your ear. When I finally convince her to look again she really pushed that scope in far, and suddenly said "There is a moth in your ear"...LOL... I just said "Duh, now get it out:)" When she got it out, several others, doctors and even the patient in the next area had to come see it flopping around in the tweezers. She put it in a cup, I think she saved it:).
