"I always wanted to see one of those guys." They are neat, and a bit comical. I think whoever did the Roadrunner cartoons must have spent some time watching them. I've actually seen more Roadrunners in Arkansas, at least in northern Arkansas, than I ever did in the California desert.
We have a lot of wading birds here too, but I don't have a marshy area in my immediate vicinity. Probably just as well. Where there is marshy area, the bugs are trecherous and I do NOT do bugs.

I really want to, someday, see one. Interesting, your thought that the one who put RR in a cartoon had watched them before. That's neat. It's wonderful you get to see them!
Here's a try at resize. I'll post it even if I fail the size, unless it's huge. It's still not where I'd like to see the size. Not too bad though.
