Every time I visited her I see another lifer. I'm so jealous ;) We have lived in this house for about 25 years. I just started looking at the birds around here about 3-4 years ago. I just never paid that much attention. I have been very surprised at the variety we have here. It makes watching for them alot of fun with so many to see.

I know what you mean. When I wasn't watching and feeding the birds, I had no idea how many are around. Gardening hooked me into the birds.
I never had seen a Woodpecker in life before I started feeding them. I think it's amazing how growing up I only realized there were Crows, Robins, Jays, Cardinals and Seagulls. It was great fun when I first started seeing all these birds. I'll never forget when I first saw a Gold Finch at the feeder, I was truly amazed. I couldn't believe they were always around. My kids love it too! We spend days going for walks at birding parks. We really enjoy that time together.
