This is my first post here. I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. As you can tell by my handle, I'm a huge Ann Coulter fan. :-)
I've actually been checking out the site for a while... ever since a friend mentioned for about the third time. I finally decided to get registered today (slow day at work...).
Anyway, here's the topic:
I am really psyched up about the idea of partially privatizing social security. in fact, I wish it'd been done years ago. and I want it to be to a higher percent. so I wrote to both my senators and my congressman about it.
what other ideas are out there that could help improve our country???
I want to hear them... anybody have ideas??

make tax day and election day one and the same. maybe make it a national holiday... call it Good Citizenship Day or something.
the point is, right now, tax day is about as far from election day as it can get. but do you think people would vote differently if they had to turn in their taxes at the polls, just before they go pull the lever?
I also think that turning in your tax forms at the polls would encourage more people to vote... they'd BE there already anyway.

Here's one that will work. Put all of Congress on the same Social Security Benefit plan that we are on, or put all of us on the same benefit plan that they are on. After all, our Social Security plan is not good enough for them so they pay nothing into the plan nor take anything out. They have to somehow survive by drawing their same salary for as long as they live. Oh, they are helped a bit by getting timely cost of living increases and benefits for their spouses. What is deducted from their meager salaries for this little plan is zilch, nada... $0.00.
We'll plan as the day gets closer.
I haven't seen him since Oct. I'll find out what he does.
