Some may suggest that women that shave their armpits are shallow and slaves to the teachings Cosmo, Vague, and other fashion magazines.

You don't see the irony of saying women don't shave aren't slaves to fashion magazines when Drew Barrymore (subject of story) was at an event for a fashion designer???

The 29-year- old Charlie's Angels star made her fashion statement at a New York catwalk event featuring designer Marc Jacobs.

I think it's personal decision if a woman wants to shave or not, but it is what is considered the norm in our society. I know that is not the case in Europe, but since it is the norm here it is always a bit shocking when women stop shaving.

It is ironic and thank you for placing an emphasis on that.

We'll go on forever trying to define what norm is now. I am old enough to remember the impact Burt Reynolds had on Cosmo and now with men vainly plucking their eyebrows... nothing surprises me.

I'm not a hair freak, but even Beaker had a look about him.
