My 8th grade English teacher was an elderly woman with an artificial leg. Occassionally, for no apparent reason, the leg would come flying off and she'd grab the nearest student to steady herself.

We were pretty freaked out.

On the other hand, were I a 14 y.o. student of Ms. Turners I might likewise find myself distracted.
