Rice Tells Europe to Move Past Conflicts
By ANNE GEARAN
Last updated: Tuesday, Feb 08, 2005 - 06:05:12 am PST
PARIS - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told European intellectuals Tuesday "it is time to turn away from the disagreements of the past," because history will not judge the United States and Europe by their disputes.

Rice was giving an address on U.S. foreign policy in Europe, Iraq, the Middle East, and elsewhere to an audience of French intellectuals. She chose Paris because France is a seat of recent criticism of U.S.-led war in Iraq and of President Bush's diplomacy in general.

Did it say whether she spoke French or English?

I can't wait for the coverage to come on.

She's also visiting a music school in Paris sometime today. I wonder if she'll do an impromptu concert????

She's a doozy, yessiree.
