Pit bull attacks Doberman

OLGA KIRGIDIS STAFF REPORTER

A Doberman suffered serious injuries yesterday morning when a pit bull jumped a fence and attacked the dog in a field near Eglinton and Victoria Park Aves.

A woman was walking the Doberman around 11 a.m. when the pit bull pounced over a fence and began biting her dog. Police have not released the name of the Doberman's owner, who tried to break up the attack.

When officers arrived on the scene, the woman's hand was covered in blood, leading police to believe that she, too, had been seriously injured. But the woman escaped with only a broken nail.

The Doberman is expected to survive.

Police say no charges have been laid.

The pit bull had previously been diagnosed with cancer and was scheduled to be put down next week.

A Doberman is no match for a Pit Bull. I was bit by a Pit Bull and that dogs jaws were so strong it was unbelievable. And the Pit Bull wasn't attacking me, he mistake my shoulder for a Tennis Ball he jumped to get from me

It wasn't a "fight"... Fight suggests mutual combat... The Dobie was jumped by the Pit Bull...

Okay, so pit bulls can kick Doberman butt. What about poisonous vipers?

I'd say it is more newsworthy than that freak Michael Jackson.
