My wife has been using Quicken on a Mac for the last ten years with no problem.

After balancing our last statement to the penny, she went back to the register to make a $0.30 change to correct a misread a check.

She says when she went back to the reconcile window, the "Previous Balance" field should have been blank, but instead, it has a large number in it, and she can't make it go away.

If we clear it and leave the reconcile window, the number comes back when we return.

The difference is too great (about $1k) to just let the computer make it go away.

Thanks for any help.

Call/email Quicken tech support. That's what they do for a living.

Try restoring your latest backup...provided it does not include the erroneous entries. If that doesn't work, re-install Quicken and then restore you latest backup.

If you don't have a backup on removable media, there is a backup directory in the Quicken directory that you can copy all of the files from to another place before re-installing.
