Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
That'll be great. I don't think we have too many comeing then. The bulk of them seems to be coming in May. Duchess is expecting one in Feb. tho. Hair and her are going to try to hook up a live web camera, so we can all watch. That would just be amazing.

No I was just catching up this afternoon and read the posts from last night and before
I am scanning pictures of my horses into the computer so I can post them since I have not ever posted pictures of them. Maybe Hair can put them in the Who's Who for me.
I know she will be happy to post them.

This is my mare Tom's Sweet Jet(Jet for short, due to foal this year)
This is Tang a Mustang we bought last year
These are our foals from Jack 2 years ago they will be broke this year. Both are bay and have the white spot on thier forehead, they almost look like twins except the one of the left is bigger than the other one(left:katie right:Jazz)
That is all of my horses till end of march, early april.

We did arrange for them to deliver 80-100 bales next weekend... so that will hold us for awhile.

Only other thing we might want is a pic of yourself, riding or otherwise! We like to picture the horses and the posters!
Ok, the picture of Jet was taken this summer, she is showing now. I will have to get an updated picture.
AH! No wonder she still looks so slim! I thought she was just carrying it well!

Those are great pictures. I can find a picture I think of you riding Jet this year when we went to Robbers Cave. You want me to post it if I find it?

Your horses did that? Wow. I'm glad they didn't get hurt.
Yea, That will be fine. Had to go next door to see my sister's new curio cabinet that she got today. It is really pretty.
