Fellow Freepers,

" So far she has her ticket, and $300US from selling her car, but doesn't have anywhere to stay or spending money for her birthday presents."
I know one thing. NYC with no friend to put her up will consevatively cost her more like 300 per DAY! Good place to find a middle aged guy with money, tho.

Well, whaddya know, you're right!
A pukeko is a bird.
I just did a search:
They are birds that are full of character and can provide a lot of amusement for the observer. The white undertail is flirted cheekily with every movement and their high querulous notes run the whole gamut of expression, from curiosity to interrogation to scolding. The naturalist Guthrie Smith maintained that they make great pets and that every country family should rear them.:)

Yeah, until you learn that she's a raving lunatic with more issues than the Wall Street Journal...
Then you are stuck with a psycho...
But hey, she's in New Zealand...how often do you go to New Zealand...

You know, I seem to remember seeing those birds, Pukeko! (Thats why I didn't think it was puke) They may have been the ones you see on the ground on the side of the highways. I had my NZ bird book and we drove both north and south island (fabulous). Kinda reminded me of our Roadrunners. I still don't think the grandmother placed the ad on e-bay. ;9)

"I kinda doubt that Grandma would pick "pukeko75" as a screen name."
Agreed. And the "75" after the "pukeko" part obviously is short for 1975 (the year she was allegedly born).

This from the auction description: "She turns 30 this year and has always been there for me since my husband died
when was 4."
Sounds like a Freudian slip. When, who, what was 4? When the girl was 4? So she's been looking after her grandma since 1979? Sounds like the word "I" belongs between the words "when" and "was." Speculant!

Speaking as a dentist, she looks like she has a normal smile to me. Those teeth look just a bit too white and straight to me. But I'll bow to your professional opinion.
