Comedian Chris Rock says he spent an impromptu tour of the White House hiding from the president. Rock was filming a movie in Washington a year ago when, during a break, he walked past the White House.
"A black security guard spotted me and took me into the White House," Rock told The Associated Press recently. "I was walking around the whole White House. It was weird because (President) Bush was there and they were hiding me from Bush."

Isn't this dangerous? I don't think Chris Rock himself is but a security guard let somebody in and walked around the WH without proper credential doesn't sound good to me.

I think maybe he's just making funny, but honestly, security ususally don't screen all visitors with the President, if I remember correctly. In this case, they might have given Rock a tour and still have been loathe to interrupt the President unless their was need to interrupt.

"A black security guard spotted me and took me into the White House," Has the security guard been fired yet?
Rock was not hiding from GWB, he was hiding from the Secret Service.

"told the Associated Press"...
Chris Rock is promoting his movie and trying to make controversy to get attention. Very funny, evil little man.

They give tours of the White House every day. Nothing in Rock's "bragging" indicates he went anywhere other than where everyone else gets to go on the tour. Consider the source.

Chris Rock is hosting the Oscars. I think he's just making some news for himself.

A lie. Complete and utter fabrication.
Trust me. . .NO ONE enters the White House under those circumstances. Ever.
As far as hiding, well I have a TRUE story: Clinton White House days, I'm with a group of fairly senior UK officers (Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force) on a White House tour (after hours). This tour is part of a formal professional event where we showed them things like the situation room, the bunkers, and a few other places.
My White House contact that is escorting us has his ear-piece on and he stops suddenly in the hallway and muffles a quick "Right-away" into the mic.
We are them practically shoved into a large closet just off the hallway. As we are in the closet (I am not kidding), we ask what the heck is going on? Terrorist attack? Bomb threat? Mad-man with a gun? What? We are told to be quiet and we do. We then shortly hear muffled sounds and footsteps go by. A few moments later my contact gets a message that everything is clear and we emerge from the closet.
The reason for the quick hide was. . .wait for it. . .Hillary!
I'm not kidding.
She had a rule that she was not to encounter anyone as she walked through the halls of the White House. Period. No exceptions. Therefore, as she strutted along she had her minions rush ahead (physically and via radio) to clear her path so she would not encounter/see anyone.
True story. Fall, 1998.

What a venal witch! I can't wait until she runs for Prez so we can bring all this out again.

"A lie. Complete and utter fabrication."
Well, he is supposed to be a comedian.....not like Dan Rather who we just laugh at.

[T]hey were hiding me from Bush.
Let's see if liberals get as upset about a Rock's decision to invade Bush as they did about . . . aw, never mind.
To: Gunrunner2
Ahhh, the empress Hillary. No one dared look her in the eye if I remember right.
To: paudio
I doubt it really happend.

I have to assume you're not from the DC area. All manner of security personnel can get approval to bring in special guests. Rest assured, the person brining him in had clearance in advance.

One doesn't have to live in foggy bottom to
understand the Secret Service keeps tabs on who is
visiting the White House>
To think that security guards can schedule private
tours so private they have to hide the visitor from
the Secret Service borders on naive.
