I thought about you because the owner of the company's wife is from Endicott. She is there now taking care of her father, and said it's drizzling, grey, etc. etc. In other words, depressing to us desert rats.

15% housing cost increase in 2004; everyone must be flocking here. Mainly from SoCal, it said in the paper today. Good for sellers; tough for buyers. Good time for us to remodel, even though we aren't selling.

Thankfully the sun came out today.
Unfortunately, it was in the mid 60's, and after repeated days in the low 50's, 64 degrees feels oppressive.
*chuckle*

We had mild flooding due to the rain yesterday and teh day before.
Housing market dropped out here.
They're building, but no-one CAN buy.
The banks aren't fronting mortgages due to it being high risk at the moemnt, and the houses that ARE being built are in the 300K and up range.
Problem is, the median income here is less than 28K a year IF that.
And the state wonders why everyone is leaving the state.
(Well duh, triple taxes on everything driving prices upwards, income taxed to death, and wages being pathetic, of COURSE people are going ot take their business and living elsewhere.)
