Glad he made it home safely. Bad weather is nothing to mess with, especially as many idiots as there are out there on the roads.
When I heard the courage of Bush speech I thought of kind of A Proclamation to the World of the America role is too this planet!

Poems by Goethe
"Genius"
(This "motto" is actually from W.H. Murray, "The Scottish Himalayan Expedition", with the Goethe quote at the end.)
Until one is committed there is the chance to draw back;
always ineffectiveness.
Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation)
there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which
kills countless ideas and splendid plans:
that the moment one definitely commits oneself,
then providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one that would not
otherwise have occured. A whole stream of events
issues from the decision, raising in one's favour
all manner of unforseen incidents and meetings and
material assistance which no man would have dreamed
would come his way.
I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets:
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it!
Boldness has genius, magic, and power in it.
Begin it now!
He said a couple of car in front of his lost it and crashed into each other on the snow covered road
I had kept his distance from the cars in front of him and was able to stop in time and not get involved in the accident
