My daughters are living in Southern Cal. I will be visiting in June (I hope). They are both pubbie in thinking....now, I just gots to get them to be active in that thinking....one is too young to vote, the older one didn't vote.....the younger one expressed "what's the point." You can imagine I "educated" her! The good thing, if you can believe this is her teacher (in some kind of history class) apparently says things that sound exactly like my political beliefs...of course, they're done in such a way that she hasn't come out and said she's a Republican, but my daughter says she has to be! (This is very good!).
My kids were surprised when on the first day of classes I said that I wasn't going to play the PC game and publicly and proudly said that I was for Dubya, that 4 more years was my point of view, and that I didn't care who they supported so long as they had an opinion based on fact and not on rhetoric they borrowed from anyone, including the RNC.
A couple of 'em came up after that first class and said that they were for the Prez and were glad that they didn't have to hide their opinions.
Some hang out in my room during academic support and listen to Rush with me over the internet feed from WABC.
And I live in a VERY BLUE area, and I don't have tenure.
