Many e-mailers have asked , in response to my "she's running for president" reaction to Hillary's statement on abortion yesterday, how did I feel about that. I respond with this passage from Fellowship of the Ring, and not because the junior senator from New York is a demon, but because she and her husband are fierce and skilled political opponents, and the battle is going to be epic: "It came to the edge of the fireand the light faded as if a cloud had bent over it.
