Can someone tell me what bttt, bump, ping, etc mean? I've only been here a short time.

BTTT = back to the top
BUMP is same as BTTT
PING is like a pager

btt = bump to the top

bump is to post on a thread to raise it higher in the queue of posts

ping probably derives from sonar bouncing a signal through the water in an effort to get a response signal, in a thread it's normally used to send a message to others on a distribution list
