Do I believe the Bush adminstration "let it happen or made it happen on purpose" now? No. Did I ever? Not really. I kind of know that say such memos pass one's desk in this day and age after 9/11, it's not going to be as overlooked as it was before. BUT in GWB's defense, you can not believe how many memos have been received like that. It's quite common for that to be pushed aside like other memos.
On Iraq, I thought we went in under false premises originally. I know now that we have liberated the Iraqi people from a horrid dictator and if you're anti-war, you're anti-troops. You CANNOT support the troops without supporting the war. Therefore, bring our men home as fast as you can, but they are doing their duty and they are doing it quite well.
You haven't said anything about your transitional thought. IOW, "I know now" etc doesn't tell me much about what changed your mind, why do you 'know it now'?
Why did you believe what you did before? What are the politics of your parents? Do you all discuss news/politics at the dinner table?
