My original political philosophy was that of a moderate, then I creeped liberal, then joined DU...After some serious post-election thinking and re-evaluating of my philosophy (a good issue for this is social security) I stopped going to DU...I'm a bit of a neocon, in the extent of taking it literally. I am a new conservative. I hope to once be known as a paleocon. Seems to me you need a website with one of these on the front door:

You're probably going to get a lot of flack given your admitted history on DU.
How you handle it will go a long way in how your welcome here goes.
Good luck and welcome to FR

Welcome to FR! The one place I learned a LOT was from reading the Admin Moderator's about page.
Go here, and read up. It's a great primer.

Yep, I've viewed, and I'll ping my friend on this one for giving me his profile.
[To ping is to add "usernames" to the 'To:' at the top of the reply box, right?]

We're gonna rough you up a bit to see if you are for real. I think you are, but we shall see...you wouldn't be the first troll to try this as well.

I think I've really found the ideology that suits me best.
To: SeanQuinn
I don't see how you can swing, philosophically speaking, from DU to FR in such a short time.

If you have any questions...I'm curious as to what values or positions you held before that you no longer espouse, and what caused the change.

Feel free. I know I'm skating on thin ice already with the admitted history but I'll try to suit up to you all the best that I can. :D
To: cripplecreek
LMAO! I know Red means business.
To: wimpycat
Well, the default position for most college grads does seem to be 'liberal wacko'. Then they get out into the real world...

Your post has caused an emergency meeting of FR's moderators.....
To: SeanQuinn
Just curious, why did you wait so long (two months?) to introduce yourself?

Welcome To FRee Republic. There are many places around here to enjoy politics. However, there are also a lot of threads that have nothing to do with Politics. Just take a tour and lurk.
And if you're up to helping to amuse our Troops. Come visit us at the FReeper Canteen.
Welcome to Free Republic.
Just remember something: You do not have to agree with everything that someone posts. The more varied opinions--the better.
