We don't know if he won or not, however.
This is not unusual. The cast reunion show is being held in NYC on Sunday. And the families of the final four are usually flown in to avoid spoiling the final two hour episode. But thanks anyway. It adds more credence to my pick of Caryn getting the boot tonight and Ian making it to the final four.
CBS flew a family member of each survivor to Palau last week just in case their loved one won the challenge. That's how they got them on the boat so quickly, because they were all already in Palau.
Ian's Dad was there and was treated to a wonderful time in Palau, even tho Ian didn't get to see him.
Ian is from Ambridge, Pa, and so I hear some of the details AFTER each show is over.
Ian's family are sticking to the rules of the game...:~)
My little home town is praying he won because he is truly a very nice young man, from a wonderful family.
I'm still holding out hope that the bootee is Jenn.
Every spoiler I've seen for this episode says that "cuz" is right on - over at "Sucks" the "never wrong" spoiler board is saying is as well.
I am new here, as the Great Survivor Maven kindly directed me here yesterday (makes curtsey and blows a kiss) so I have two questions - (1) I assume spoiling is allowed without spoiler tags and (2) wonder if there are any Katie fans here.
Also, must agree with the others - this has been one of the BEST Survivor Seasons in a long time. The last one I had any affection for was Pearl Islands and even then.....and to me, the acronym for All-Star Survivor ("ASS") said it all. I'm trying to forget Vanuatu - I'm hoping heavy doses of tequila will do it....
Couldn't agree more - he's such a doll. Has great "strategery" without being a jerk. I'm really torn between him and Tom as my favorite, and would be happy with a win by either of them.
Ian is the real thing. Very popular in HS and College, elected to Class Officer positions. From what I hear, a true friendship has grown between him and Tom that carried over from the island.
Since Ian wasn't dating anyone steady before the show, the town gossip is that he is sweet on Katie..We shall see :~)

Yep, however, if you ping everybody the instant the winner is announced, (like I was stupid enough to do a few seasons back) be prepared for the wrath of all the west coasters to ascend upon you!
I'm STILL making my mea culpas to them. :~(
LOL! I'll join you... Salute!
Won't have to worry about that from me - hee! I'm a West Coaster who hits "Sucks" the minute I get home from work. Actually I didn't use spoilers in Survivor 1, but the winner was up on the AOL news site so I accidentally found out when I got home and checked my e-mail. Since then, I've enjoyed spoilers because I get to gloat and laugh over the remarks the potential "bootee" makes during the course of the show (usually about how they are "controlling" the game). My Survivor "purist" friends say it ruins the show!
My Survivor drinking game is that anytime someone says "you LIED to me" - time for a shot.
That and "I'm playing with integrity." I always want to answer - "good for you - the others are playing for a million bucks." Time for another shot. As the game goes on, you get a little drunker each episode. I'm figuring tonight's episode will empty the current season bottle!
I hate Reality Show crossovers like Romber and Donnie/Alison in The Amazing Race - but man, what I wouldn't give to see Tom and Ian run it as a team!
I'm glad U & J won Amazing Race. Joyce made the ultimate sacrifice when she let them shave her head. I don't know that I would ever have done that.
I couldn't have said it better.
Uchenna and Joyce's win had me crying like a baby (and I notice a few tears among their competitors at the finish line).
And Gregg's exit interview last week was as gracious as any I've ever seen. Acknowledged where HE had made mistakes. I understand his interview on the Early Show and/or one of the Survivor online chats was pretty much the same.
I hope Tom or Ian wins this game, as they've worked so hard for it. Is Caryn a dark horse? Just a few hours and we'll know.
This may be my last Survivor. After the apparently fixed ending of The Amazing Race last night, I'm totally disillusioned with reality tv.
Thanks for the ping, no work tonight for me, but I won't be online again til after the show. I think Tom is the best survivor since Rupert. Enjoy the show everyone and thanks for the update Cuz, excellent as usual.
Hope Katie goes tonight. At least Caryn was upfront with Tom.
The Corvette is fire-engine red. I hope Tom wins it.
Ian wins it...didn't they both decide whomever wins that they would take a girl?.....Ian is setting Tom up, Tom better win immunity..
The male that does not win immunity might be in trouble.
