Well, to be fair, the worst dog-damage I ever saw was created by a Border Collie who peeled off dry wall, ripped out wiring and destroyed a couch kind of from the inside out over the course of maybe 6 or 7 hours.
He didn't try to chew metal, though.

Last year when I called Continental Airlines to have a dog shipped from Orlando to Houston the ONLY question they asked was "is it a pitbull 6 months or older?"
