Walmart, Kmart and Target contributed heavily Republican, too. Starbucks to the Dems? Who would have ever guessed!

This could get a little complicated ... for example, Aloha Air Group, Inc. is listed as 100% but only because of contributions to the reelection fund for Sen. Inouye - nothing for Kerry! Quite frankly, a Hawaiian company would be fools to not contribute to the very senior senator. It's the Kerry contribution or non-local RAT (such as Daschle) that would be the requirement to make my buy-red list.

Also, one must be careful to separate the actions of headquarter types from the rest of the company. As long as the liberal slant doesn't translate into corporate action - such as Target's choice of charitable contributions, for example - then you might find yourself targeting a company with a blue hq but with lots of red state operations.

I wonder what recourse companies have against sites that erroneously target them?
