Prince Harry's Costume

Posted on 01/15/2005 6:10:33 AM PST by carrier-aviator

Would the world and the world press be as upset at Prince Harry if he had worn a Stalin or Mao costume? The murders committed by these men made Hitler look like a piker (if numbers of people killed is the measure). But, let's face it, the lefty press largely admired these communist murderers, so I wouldn't expect any notoriety at all if he dressed as one of them.

Which brings up the question: how about those who dress as or wear T-shirts dedicated to Che Guevara? While his murders probably numbered in the low-1000s is he still not a mass murderer? The lefties love to use him as some sort of perverse icon. If Harry had dressed as Che would there be an outcry? Of course not.

The liberal western world is upset that it got fooled by Hitler once, and fooled by the Japanese and fooled again by Stalin.

Hitler's crimes notwithstanding, he was not so stupid as to believe Stalin himself.

FDR embodies the post-Wilsonian spirit of prostitution of the West. It is about force of seduction and communication, a Nazi fascism without the weapon but with pure words that virtualy kill in their slander and unfairness. It is about coddling with all kinds of terrorists with pseudo cases and pseudo causes, calling and prosecuting those retaliating against Muslims, gay pedophiles and what not the provokers of those terror acts, and thus people uniquely liable for hate crimes legislation, legislation solely aimed at protecting the foreignizing racists of this world, many of which are highly attracted to bureaucracy, since bureaucracy is not about helping people, but about making oneself foreign and unaffected from their problems.

Aren't many of these outraged people the same folks who called Geoge Bush a nazi?

Speaking of which, if Harry had gone to that costume party dressed like George Bush, the EEE-UU would be calling for an international tribunal.

Great Posts!

But no need to hypothesize about the lefts embracing of communist genocide.

The only reason they are acting upset about this is to cover for their current stance on Israel. They are appalled by what happened to the Jewish people years ago. But don't care what is happening to them today. How could you expect anything less from people over there.

I'd rather poke needles in my eyes than spend any time with the patrons of such an establishment.

Gee Fellas, do you think it might have something to do with the Battle of Britain and the Nazi's wholesale bombing of England's civilian population centers?

The Kaiser killed far more Brits than Hitler did. Would there be universal revulsion if Harry dressed as Kaiser Wilhelm?

Maybe you missed this part.

No, I didn't miss it.

It's just that people tend to take having their own family and countrymen killed a little bit more personally than people in a far away place which explains the uproar in the British press.

The point is well taken that a Stalin or Mao costume would not have created a stir for the reasons stated but in all the accounts I've read not one has mentioned the bombing of Britain as the main reason for England's fury.

Different kind of war. Army vs Army. Horrible, but accepted means of warfare.

I repeat, the Nazi's bombed England's civilian population centers and there are still people alive that remember it.

Funny thing is, Kaiser Wilhelm was a grandson of Queen Victoria, and thus one of Prince Harry's cousins.

Death is death. A civilian's death is as much a tragedy to his family as is the death of a civilian.

Who is a greater killer, a man who kills 100K civs and 50K soldiers, or a man who kills 200K soldiers and 100K civs? Obviously the latter, but I guess you don't value the lives of soldiers.

Oops, that should have read: Death is death. A civilian's death is as much a tragedy to his family as is the death of a SOLDIER.

Sadly too many people would have no idea who Kaiser Wilhelm was.

The Kaiser was Harry's great-great-great uncle.

The Germans did bomb Britain during the first World War with Zeppelins. Obviously they didn't do anywhere near the damage the Luftwaffe did a generation later but British civilians were killed during the raids.

Stalin, Mao, Che, Jeffrey Dahmer, KISS. All would have been fine. But Hitler is NEVER permitted, because he was the archenemy of the left. It is ALL politics.
