I am a long suffering Jets fan and seaosn ticket holder..25 years..my dad had the tickets before..from the first season at the Polo Grounds, when they were the Titans, owned by Harry Wismer, and Clyde "Bulldog" Turner was the coach. I remember those days..awful..just horrible.. Never got to see any of the 69 SB season games..I was overseas in the service.. BTW..if you do a game time ,live thread, please ping me...

Good to hear of your long time as a Jets fan. That's cool. There is a lot of silly talk on this thread about each team by all of us. We all must know, however, that all these players are the best of the best, and that all are capable of out-performing the other any day. Anything can happen on any given Sunday, as they say.

Personally I hate it when the weather may have an effect on a game. Any luck usually only helps the inferior team, and as the bookies are saying, the Jets are that tomorrow. But the ball will get cold and hard in tomorrow's 20 degree weather, and I, as a Steeler fan, worry about fumbles when it gets cold (especially on punt and kickoff returns).

I was hoping for about a 40 degree day, but it's going to be cold. Nevertheless, if the Steelers don't put the ball on the ground, they should win.

But it's football, and anything can happen.

I CERTAINLY will not be on a live thread. I never do anything during a Steeler game, I will not even take a phone call. I watch them by myself or just once in a while, with some guys who played professional football. The wives in one room, the players in another.

Anyhow, if the Jets win, I'll be glad for you. But I really have gotten to know this Steeler team personally, they're healthy, they have great chemistry, they are good kids, so I think they will win. They really are solid! (And Cowher has two GREAT co-ordinators and RUSS GRIMM, the offensive line coach!)

Enjoy the game, one way or the other! It should be worth our watch!

Way back when, the Titans trained one summer at Amherst. Back in those days (summer '62) the so-called Eastern MA high school all-stars trained at UMAss Amherst.

Wise guy pros invite hero-worshipping HS hotshots out for a night on the town, with inevitable results.

I don't know whether I hurt worse from drinking or following the pro's (Curly Johnson, IIRC) orders to jog back to campus behind their car!

Memory lane...
