It is junk.

Nothing made by God to serve as a dwelling place for His Spirit is "junk." You really don't get the Incarnational aspects of the Faith.

The Catechism position on cremation has no bearing, nor takes a position on the disposition of the ashes of a cremated person. Scattering them to the winds is not "a denial of faith in the resurrection of the body."

I believe I pointed out at least twice that it is considered disrespectful. Whether or not one intends to deny the Resurrection. The Ark of the Covenant was just some box that God used to dwell in. Did the Hebrews burn it for fuel afterwards?

I know I have pointed out many times that you are not the Catholic Church. Show me an official Catholic Church teaching concerning the disposition of the ashes of a cremated person.
