I guess this will put ad-aware and spybot mostly out of biz. I'll have to check it out when I get home.

I really hope it is a good product, but allow me to be sarcastic.
Wake me when the critical security patches come out.

Someone just FReepmailed me and gave me a heads up that this program has caused problems on their corporate systems because of a different "directory naming convention" they used. I'm not a techie, and have used this program on two different PC's without any problems, but just wanted to pass the info along. The program is still in beta and is not guaranteed to work on all systems, esepcially if you have a unique or complicated setup, so use with caution.

$1.00 says it won't be free after it's out of beta.
Last time I got duped by MS with a "beta" product was when they talked me (and about half the IT pro's in America) into "beta testing" Win95. Turns out there was no beta testing done. Just a gimmick to get you to load 95 on your machine right away. Absolutely nothing different between the beta and original release except it timed out at the end of the year and you had to buy the retail product or uninstall it.
Thanks but I think I'll wait till it's commercially released to find out how much MS wants for it before I bother installing it. It'll save me the trouble of uninstalling it.

I bought Giant AS couple months ago. I recommend it. A really great spyware remover. Between that and Ad-aware, my computer has been spyware and adware free.
The best feature of Giant is that it operates on a community database. After every scan the program asks for permission to send a report to Giant's server.
Don't know what MS is going to do with it though.

I've been using it for 3 days now. It has cleaned me up, and adaware as my backup is finding nothing. Seems pretty good. Regards.
