I believe in the Constitution. Therefore, even though I oppose gay marriage, if the constitution affords gay Americans certain rights, who am I to deny them?

What "certain rights" are you refering to? You oppose gay marriage, George Bush is calling for a Constitutional Amendment banning it, John Kerry is tolerant of civil unions, so Bush should have gotten your vote.

Yep, to liberals, the Constitution is a living document, unless you try to amend it with a conservative amendment, at which point it become sacrosanct and unchangable.
