I bought my first computer at age 35 and my daughter had to tell me "Mom you have to click on something" lol

That's cute.

Hey Congrats if it is now working for you.

It seems as if the help you are being given is on the right path. There can always be a problem with the Computer permission or Pop up blockers.

Just learn and don't forget it and then help others. Computers are fairly easy to operate and you can't break them so work at it and don't give up.

I see, Nursing School... just administer the right dose amount. Get the numbers and the conversions right. I know you can do.

Work at it - don't give up.

Lady, this should make you feel better. I've got a Master's in Computer Science and I don't know what a gold bar is all about.

Have you gone to the Firefox home page and used the "Get Common Plugins" information?

My job is to do first line computer hardware and software support. I never know all the answers, but I have a fast connection to Google!

Me, middle-aged stay-at-home mom, has gone back to college after 25 years.

Uh, shouldn't you be baking a pie and cleaning the house?

Sorry. Only joking. Will pray for you. Good luck with school! :)

Life would be so much more difficult without Google.... Isn't that the truth! I shudder to think of doing term papers and other research in the old days!

I can't offer you any techie advice other than what's already been mentioned. But I just want to say good luck with your studies. I'm sure you'll make a fine nurse.

I think you're right! I frequently got distracted by the Reader's Digest collection. I was not (still am not) a studious person!

Got credit for my maths from 25 yrs ago (like I remember any of it). Only math I'll have to take is a statistical math. But I'm up to my eyeballs in sciences - where in the classes at least 1/2 of students fail. Extremely tough but famously good school - I'll be able to write my own ticket if I can do it (my business admin. degree will help in that area as well).

Well, I'm going to reboot now. Will come back shortly...

It might be difficult but its not impossible.

I think everything is actually easy if you put in the hours. Often times people are impressed with teachers and professors. They shouldn't be - these people know what they know so well because they view it everyday.

Often times young undergrads are impressed that a professor can fall asleep during another professors symopsium lecture and then wake up and ask intriguing questions.

He is only capable of doing this because he has read the lecturers paper or presentation before hand.

Hard work can get you to where you want to go.

When my wife started nursing school on the first day the program director was giving a little talk to the entire class of 120 students. He said for everyone to look at the person in front of them, on either side, and the person behind them.

He said that two of the 4 people you saw won't be there after the last semester. He was right about that too. When she graduated there were 55 left out of the 120 that was there at the beginning.

you can't break them You live in the same alternate universe as the liberals ? I have always said that Microsoft is nothing more than a full employment act for computer professionals. Let everyone use Unix, however, and you might have a point !

What can explain the loss of so many people from a Nursing program?

Factors could be difficulty, "not their cup of tea" or university size, etc.

LibSnubber you'll do fine.

PC are here to stay... This a PC world and it will be a PC world.

Although can operate and I do like Linux and UNIX and the like.

It's just very hard. The Anatomy class and the math were the biggest washout factors. My wife failed the 2nd semester(she made the mistake of taking anatomy with nursing), and had to wait a year to hit it again, then she graduated.

LibSnubber will do fine, just stay focused, and dedicate your life to it. That's what it takes.
