That is a great poem. Here's
one from my wife Judy that I love.
Quiet! Still! Wait!
Oh, be quiet, my spirit,
Oh, be still, my soul.
It's time! It's been way too long!
Sit down before Him, without even a plan,
Kneel down before Him alone.
When the world whispers, rattles, and roars--
Noise lets you know it's around,
Come to Him, bow to Him, make Him your shore,
No safer harbor is found.
God and Spirit, God the Son,
Await your arrival with glee,
They come to you, cling to you,
make you their home--
No better soul's company.
As I wait for His presence
And bask in delight--
Cares of the world dissipate.
No longer depression, self-serving thoughts linger--
They give way to Holiness--wait!
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
