It's my first season also, but I'm thinking of getting the earlier DVD's.

"Phony" is a good word in descibing Michelle, IMO. Well, we'll see how it ends up with her being head of CTU.
I'll try to rent the DVDs of 24's previous seasons one of these days also... would be interesting to learn about the past histories of these characters.
