Over on the FOX 24 threads the Turks are complaining about being put in a bad light.
Also some one is complaining about "where have all the people of color gone". Now I know it will be a good year on 24.

I watched Kiss Me Deadly (Mickey Spillane's classic Mike Hammer film) and have since watched Mickey Spillane himself AS Mike Hammer in The Girl Hunters. I found him surprisingly more brutal than the interpretation in KMD (especially since that really gets liberals irate).

In The Girl Hunters, Mike has become an alcoholic after several years after his girlfriend is killed. Turns out she's alive, at least for now. Mike gets a lead on the man who has her. The G-Men say tell Mike that they want that man ALIVE. Mike is ready to release is frustration on him but pulls his punches. At one point he is poised to drop something heavy (like an anvil) on the man's hand and then relents. He is in a barn and picks up a big metal spike and can be seen driving into the man's hand, nailing him to the floor. Mike calls the agent and tells him that the man is there and he's alive. This is late 1950s/early 1960s.

I just wish that they would release I Led 3 Lives as a boxed set of DVDs. I've only seen a few episodes:

This was a good series while it lasted. It pretty much showed what was gong on during this period in our history and the efforts to keep it in check. The left doesn't like the series because it shined a light on communist activities in the U.S. We don't track "commies" anymore because the cold war is over and they lost. Today people can be openly against the U.S. without any fear. They are in academia, the media,Hollywood, the judiciary and at all levels of local and national politics. Their still is, however, resentment among many that there is no longer a U.S.S.R. It would be great to have an updated series like this today. McCarthy was a little over-zealous in his time, but not far off the mark.

And for the RECORD, they are in color (two leftists say it was in B&W, maybe on THEIR sets).

My husband and I are about to give up on 24. Good show, but the constant commercials are killing it. A show like this on commercial-free HBO would be terrific...

I can't recall many films since the 1960s that had Turks as villians. Seems fair game to let them play that part this time around.

I fear that the kid being a "political protestor" may be the screenwriters' way of saying that "not every protestor deserves harassment".

Rioting in the streets and causing roadblocks is bad enough, at a time when the President's life is under constant international threat, it could put him at risk (same goes for other government officials).

We have the right to assembly but the left tried to prevent Republicans from "assembling" at their convention in NYC to nominate their candidate. The left's free speech does not trump the right's rights.
