well thanks to all help from everyone and giving us some direction on how all this works. 6 months ago my husband starting feeling sick a fireman he ran into told him he needed to get checked right away. we register with the 911 registry and thats how this began. we went to the 911 screening and it was diagnosed my husband is suffering from 911 illnesses. we live in toms river n.j. and tried to get treatment here but it was unsuccesful. we started making trips to mt.sinai 1 a month. in the mean time i started calling the red cross, salvation army, catholic charities, 911 heart unit, we were told we were to late, the cut off date was 2002. if you weren't sick by then your out of luck. i was told to contact senator clinton(my husband refused) so i did in sept. we were told she was in charge of this and she would help. well we never heard from her, not even to let us know she received our letter.(go figure). so for the last 6 months i have written letters to the governor, senators, congressmans, county freeholders. i also contacted news stations, news papers and everyone else in between. ch.11 ny news is going to broadcast our story sometime this week. we are trying to get these rules changed about being sick by a certain date. these men shouldn't have to suffer like this. we are loosing our homes, we have closed out our childrens college funds, sold our cars and anything else of any value. these guys are hero's and that seems to be forgotten. i am not gonna let that happen. thanks to everyone for all your help.
You can be assured that folks here at FR have not forgotten the heroism and struggle of those 9/11 workers.
Welcome to FR.
Prayers for you and your husband.
I truly am sorry for the hardships that you and your family have endured.
You should let us know what we can do to help in this situation. Also, it's not a good idea to double post a thread. There were quite a few people asking you legitimate questions on the original thread. Leaving the discussion and posting a duplicate thread is considered rude.

Many of the people who spent months in the pit at ground zero have respiratory ailments. And no health insurance. And no aid from the government. Why?

The important thing is to reply at least to some..That's one way to be taken seriously..We do get cranks and disruptors and not replying on the thread is one thing everyone looks for..Sorry about that on the other thread!
Someone put the article I posted on the other thread.
Hope you get better soon, Joe! Thanks for being an American hero!
Right about double posting a thread..If you are not clearly understood by your post..explain on the original thread in a post...don't repost a thread..Again Welcome to FR.

What is it you request, exactly? Your post is fairly incoherent.
