I've done something and don't know how to reset it. I'm sure the answer is very simple but it's eluding me.
One day last week I noticed that when I begin a new email message it types in light yellow (so pale it cant be read) type. Each time I have to go up to the Big A(font color) and select automatic. Then it'll type in black
What did I do and how can I set it go back and default it to type in black automatically?
Thanks
or possibly reinstall Office.....
Last week we bought a new computer desk, 2 days later, put it together. I hauled out everything in this room to the living room. Put the old desk in another bedroom with old computer. I still have all the stuff in the livingroom! just can't get it done because I'm on here most of the day off and on. I'm hopeless (or could be helpless too.)
:)
what you need is an internet outage :)
another reboot didn't cure the yellow problem but now I can say I've tried that too.
Had that with old computer ;) Nice try though. (You sound like my husband!)
It's so funny too, before I discovered FReeRepublic he'd be on here playing games, etc. and I'd get so mad at him. Tell him there is more to life than computer! Ok so I was wrong.
Maybe that's next...at least I can manually change it until I get around to a reinstall
yeah....
it does almost sound like an Outlook setting file has been corrupted. AT least you can change it back.
I would know what the answer is if you were using roaming profiles, but as you are at home, I doubt that is the case anyway :)
LOL
Computers are evil!!! :)
Since I don't know what a roaming profile is I'll imagine that's not the issue, though I do appreciate your time and effort.
Ok my turn now with the computer question. This is a dumb question. I use Netscape with this new computer we bought. They say not to use Internet Explorer anymore because of vulnerablities. Am I using if I use Netscape? If so, how to I change?
you really want Mozilla Firefox....Netscape is just another web browser and but isn't IE either....
http://www.firefox.com/
That is the web browser I would recommend....
If you have a clear idea of when this yellow journalism started and you have a Restore Point just before it did start...go for it.
Just remember that any software installs and other system changes you made since the restore point will go bye-bye. I'm betting that the Outlook problem will be solved by the System Restore.
yeah you would know if you had one of those :)
Roaming profiles suck so dont worry...
Does it just overwrite netscape? And do I have to use their email because I love Incredimail that I have.
I will import your favorites and probably your history as well....
It shouldnt matter. It is just a browser and not an ISP....your email should still be ok....
OK then. Here goes. I've actually read about that somewhere before. I used to use MSN but this comp came with netscape already there. Ok here I go, then I best get busy organizing that office mess in living room. Yuck I hate that.
cool....
keep me posted on how it works....I need to do this on my computer back home when I get there anyway....
WEll, the deed is done. A couple of things I notice right away. It doesn't say Favorites, instead it's under Bookmark. And when I type it looks like an Etch a Sketch. How you can see a little thingy jigger on the curser. Hm how can I change that?
that I dont know...
It is already configured on the computer I am using so I couldnt tell ya :(
If you go up to the Tools menu, there are quite a few features you can use to modify and personalize it....
I saw that but it scares me when I change things on here. I don't know what I'll change yet but I will look at it. What time is it there? BTW
