I've done something and don't know how to reset it. I'm sure the answer is very simple but it's eluding me.
One day last week I noticed that when I begin a new email message it types in light yellow (so pale it cant be read) type. Each time I have to go up to the Big A(font color) and select automatic. Then it'll type in black
What did I do and how can I set it go back and default it to type in black automatically?
Thanks
Get a TRS-80.
In outlook
Go to Tools Options Mail Format....That should do it....
If not...tell me what you see there....
I can't help you, but I'll ping for you.
And I'd like to officially document the fact that Nita does not need help with her computer. :-)
LOL!
I used to have that problem.
Then I got rid of my amber monochrome monitor.
Hi MikeInIraq!
hey there...hows it going?
went to church at 7:45 am. Came home, ate, and here I am. Does that mean I'm addicted to FreeRepublic? Housework waiting, laundry piling high!
Thanks for helping....here's what I see
In tools, options, mail
I'm composing the message in HTML
the box is checked to use microsoft 2003 to edit email
in the font section...
The stationary is blank
when I click on "fonts" I'm using 10 pt Arial to compose and reply ...when I "choose font" black auto is listed as compose and blue is selected for reply...
after confirming these settings I just tried to open a new emailmessage...and it's still yellow:(
LOL
yep....that it does....but there are worse addictions :)
I have some of them too. If you mean chocolate, etc. Why are the harmful addictions the ones we have? Not saying this site is of course. Why can't I have an exercise addiction? Or a Vegetable and Fruit addiction?
So how are you doing? I'm not even gonna ask if you're home anymore until I don't see you on here for awhile...Then I'll know you're home safe and sound!! LOL
hmmmm
try using Word as your email editor maybe? Now im stumped...I would need to see it to figure out it (I hate being a hands on person!! )
thanks for trying:) I wonder if I did a system restore would that help?
Sounds familiar. FreeRepublic is adictive.
LOL that would probably be a good idea :)
There are some people who have healthy addictions....like I have a healthy addiction to beer :)
hmmm I dont know....
It just sounds like a setting in Outlook is somehow corrupted...
is anything else screwy happening on your computer? A system restore could set you back a bit....
not unless you have a lot more problems than this. I assume you have rebooted.
nothing else crazy that I can tell....doesn't seem sluggish or hanging up but I guess I could run a spyware type program and see what shows up
Yep - rebooted once but i'll do it again now just to say I"ve done it again.
