Good Morning twice bentfeather! :)
and well dat Helga Finn/Swede toooo! ...now I`m having `my` morning coffee. It appears you brewed yours in a zone different than mine! NY is far from here even by way the crow flies!
One time in Wa. state, I was having lunch at my picnic table. I went inside to get more ice for the tea, then started back outside to find a crow swooping down to the table and off he flew with the entire half of my sandwich! I was in total amazement and not a thing I could do about it. It was good sandwich too! It had all kinds of goodies in it, an entire meal! He left me the half with my bite in it!
There are a lot of crows in Washington.
There was a little eating spot not far from where I lived, called "The Fish Bowl." It had been there since the 1950`s at least. It stared on cement blocks, `take-out` orders only, then over the years added on with more cement blocks to hold indoor seating for about approx. seventy people or more. Indoors they had picnic tables for seating. It was a really nice family gathering place that holds memories for generations of people. The same owners ran it themselves for several decades and maintained the same standards they began with and it kept everyone coming back. They were the best Fish & Chip and jumbo Prawns eatery around, excellent deluxe hamburgers, clam chowder, milkshakes ~ just the main three flavors, but made to perfection. Their tarter sause was so wonderful, I`d order an extra pint! They just kept things real simple and worked hard, stayed consistant, and treated people like family. I wish things could last forever, not only in our mind. I want to taste their foods again, not only remember them, it makes me want to try at least to create something good. They set a standard for many things.
I have practiced numerous times to try to duplicate their tarter sause. I have it real close but something is missing yet. I have it good though, and one of these days soon, I`ll share it here.
They had a floor to ceiling triangular section walled with two glass sides to the outside cemented wall.
Inside, there was a black Mina (sp) bird that had residency spanning many years. He just talked away, repeating such a vocabulary. All these black birds are really smart birds!
...have a peaceful day, I hope you are feeling well.
the Norsk/Swede ;)
hahaha ~ good morning Samw :)
I had only sat down to take my first sip of coffee as I came upon your IMHO and knew something just hit my funny bones! laughing inside already, it was all I could do swallow...< now we`re really talkin bird talk! har -
When a man begins with IMHO, women knew something very important is about to be said!
I want to agree with you, the birds are playing in the air currents and until someones tells different, I will hold that thought and vision.
Loved this morning Poem too :)
You always find the perfect finds!

What a cute little wolf! :)
`I fed the birds` they`re happy.
They never stop eating by day...
The Ravens are doing their aerial acrobats, fourteen pairs, last count!
Fish & Game says as many as 800 ravens have been seen in one roost in Fairbanks. These birds are huge. Imagine 800 ravens in one spot.
One captive bird died of old age at 29 years.
The raven is the largest species of songbird and largest of all-black birds in the world.
In Alaska, the raven can only be confused with a hawk or crow. One study in Alaska showed ravens to have more than 30 distinct vocalizations.
Kaw ~ ! :-)
LOL
Oh my, the Pipes come into the Lair a lot lately!
Thank You, ms. marlowe.
Hi Radix, thanks for the link. I have a lot of reading to do.
I hope you had a nice Sunday Ms. Feather.
Quiet Sunday ms. marlowe, but nice thanks. I hope yours was restful.
Me too, and I really needed a rest day. I was very thankful to get one.

Thank You Star, we appreciate this lovely graphic and song very much.

Queenie, if I ever get my act together (which at this point will be a complete miracle!) I'd love to stop in more...I just have to remember to do it!! We are in the homestretch in homeschooling... Since we took off so much in Nov/Dec I am doing 3 actual days of school per week, but doing double work loads on all days...so technically we are getting in 6 days of school per week. Plus work and church activities and the Canteen and scrapbooking... I sometimes feel like I am meeting myself coming and going. But I miss the Lair - I know I didn't contribute much, but I love the FOLKS and I love to read!! HUGS!!!
We enjoy having you here when you can get here. I understand how busy a mother is with 4 children, one of them a baby in arms.
HUGS to you and the babes.
